Bournemouth is truly an eventful destination - we have more than 500 events taking place across the resort every year!

If you're up to date with the latest pop and rock artists, you'll be able to catch some of the biggest names in the music industry at our world class venues.

Or if you prefer classical sounds, we've got live performances on indoor and outdoor stages throughout the town and even on the seafront.

There's also a great selection of smaller venues running live music events throughout the year so you can pop along and hear fresh sounds and local talent while you enjoy a pint.

There are also plenty of other opportunities to see spectacular performances in Bournemouth. The famous Art Deco Pavilion Theatre runs a packed programme of events including musical theatre straight from the West End, ballet, opera, pantomime and comedy.

And that's not the only place you can find hit shows - there are other theatres in and around Bournemouth as well as pop-up live stages so you can enjoy entertainment outdoors in the summer months.Bournemouth is also a vibrant resort with a vital population of residents and visitors so we're always hosting breathtaking sporting events - a thrill for both competitors and spectators alike. From the ever popular running and team sports events to the more unusual - including everything from beach volleyball and soccer to power boating and open water swimming - you can get active while soaking in the fresh sea air and panoramic views.

As well as high energy events, there's plenty going on at a more leisurely pace. You'll find local fairs and festivals both in the centre of town and out into our coastal villages. From food and drink to vintage vehicles, these often one-off gems are unique to their quaint, coastal locations so you can immerse yourself in a British seaside experience that'll make your holiday in Bournemouth one to remember.

Our range of events span the seasons and take place day and night so whether you want a fun filled trip with the family or you're out on the town with friends, you're sure to find something to enjoy that'll make your stay in Bournemouth the 'event of the year'!

Bournemouth is home to a huge variety of natural habitats from expansive nature reserves and  miles of rugged coastline and sandy beaches. There are tons of places to pitch up and look down to the ground or up to the skies. If you're lucky, you'll spot some of the rare species that have made their home here, ornithologists regularly hail Bournemouth and neighbouring Poole as the ideal environment for bird watching and there are museums and visitor centres where you can find out more.

Keep watch for Bournemouth Air Festival, as due to Government guidelines from 21st June 2021 it looks very much like we will be in a position to hold the festival. 2nd -5th September 2021

Since Victorian times, people have come to Bournemouth for the sea air and pine-scented walks. These days, you can still take a leisurely 19th century stroll or choose a more energetic adventure. The resort is criss-crossed with routes through our grade II listed gardens, spacious golf courses, sandy beaches and sweeping coastline. If you’re an intrepid explorer, you can chart a course out into the surrounding countryside – there are some spectacular, long walks through the New Forest and along the Jurassic coast. Best of all, walking doesn’t cost a penny so it’s a great, low cost day out for all the family.
